Below you will find resources for medical health. Attending
to the medical health needs of you and your family is an important
part of ensuring physical well being. Many individuals that have
a low income or are homeless are eligible for health benefits, and
many of the resources listed below are free or are provided for
a sliding scale fee.

Homeless Prenatal Program (HPP):

Provides prenatal assessment, placement in comprehensive prenatal
care programs, prenatal classes to low income pregnant women and
families.

Medi-Cal is the medical assistance program in California for persons
who receive CalWORKS/TANF and SSI and selected other individuals.

Some services include: primary care, family planning, pregnancy
tests, cardiology, and podiatry. Sliding scale based on income
and family size.
Planned Parenthood Golden Gate:

Provides birth control, emergency contraception, primary care, pregnancy
prevention and safer sex education, testing for HIV/AIDS, pregnancy,
sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and cancer, as well as abortion
services to women, men, and teens.
San Francisco Free Clinic:

Services include treatment of non-emergency acute and chronic medical
problems and preventive health care. Offers free care to uninsured
individuals. Staff will refer those insured through Medi-Cal to
an appropriate facility.

Chart outlines services provided, eligibility, and location to several
health centers and clinics. Some services include urgent care, TB
testing, pregnancy testing and primary care.
Sister Mary Phillipa Memorial Clinic:

Provides primary and specialty outpatient care, including allergy,
arthritis, cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, eye, gastrointestinal,
orthopedics, podiatry, proctology, psychiatry, renal, urology, and
vascular surgery. Recipients of GA not accepted.

Primary care is for chronically ill people who are homeless or residents
of supportive housing who live in the area. Appointments are
made in person only M-F 8 AM- 5 PM for all clinics. Se habla Español.
WIC: Women, Infants, and Children:

Provides supplemental foods (such as milk, cheese, eggs, and juice),
breastfeeding and nutrition education, and referral to health care
to women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have recently had a
baby, infants, and children under five years of age.

The FREE services of the Women's Community Clinic include: Annual
exams, including breast exams, pap smears, and basic physical exams;
Screening and treatment of sexually transmitted infections; Pregnancy
testing, counseling, and referral; Family planning services including
birth control counseling and follow-up; Menopausal care; Treatment
and advice for common gynecological concerns; Confidential HIV risk
assessment, testing, and counseling; Acupuncture and homeopathy
for gynecological needs; Comprehensive health education; Referrals
for other health care services; and "The Pantry" with
free clothing, hygiene items, and non-perishable food.
